Pornstar databases
Reference databases that index adult performers, their filmographies, and studio credits. We grade these on data accuracy, coverage depth, and how usable they are, not on how much media they host.
- 1
Pornhub's performer directory ranks names by views and links every uploaded scene tagged to them. It's not a biographical database, but for sheer 'what has this person done here' coverage it's enormous.
- 2
xHamster's performer hub pairs basic bios with every scene tagged to a name across the tube. Coverage is wide and community verification exists, but the data is thin next to a dedicated database.
- 3A-
FreeOnes
FreeOnes has tracked performers since the late 1990s and still runs deep bios, social links, measurements, and links out to where scenes actually live. The interface is dated but the data holds up.

IAFD
The Internet Adult Film Database is the reference performers use to settle credits: exhaustive filmographies, aliases, birth dates, and scene-by-scene cast lists going back decades. Plain layout, no fluff, and it's rarely wrong.
- 5
A wiki-style profile site with large photo sets, measurements, and 'who is this' identification threads. Coverage skews toward glamour and mainstream performers, and edits can lag, but the ID tools are genuinely useful.
- 6
A community-maintained metadata source built for media managers like Stash, with scene and performer data served by API. Great for taggers, though the front end assumes you know what you're doing.
- 7
A DVD and VOD store whose pornstar index is a genuinely useful side effect: browse by performer, see full title lists, and cross-reference studios. Buying is the point, so expect a hard sell.
- 8
The go-to reference for Japanese adult video, indexed by ID code with cast, studio, and user ratings. Menus in several languages help, though the site throws Cloudflare checks and mirrors constantly.

Indexxx
Indexxx focuses on identifying performers from a single image and mapping aliases across sites. The tag and network cross-links are strong, though you'll hit login walls and the ad load gets heavy.
- 10A-
Data18
Data18 leans into scene and DVD metadata: release dates, studios, cast, and box covers cross-referenced tightly. Registration gates some pages, but for tracing which performer was in which release, it's hard to beat.
- 11
A MediaWiki project cataloguing performers and glamour models, heavy on measurements and career notes. It's community-edited so depth varies a lot by name, and some pages sit half-finished for years.
- 12
An open, community-maintained metadata database built for the Stash media organizer. Contributors verify scenes, performers, and studios by hand, so accuracy is high, though coverage depends on what volunteers have added.
- 13
TheNude.com indexes models across thousands of galleries and studios with clean tag filtering and photo-set sourcing. It's strong for softcore and glamour names, thinner once you get into hardcore-only performers.
- 14
A cleaner English-language JAV reference with actress pages, cover art, and genre tags. It's newer and coverage of obscure labels lags, but for mainstream titles it's easy to search.
- 15
An older performer directory tying names to galleries and basic stats. It still resolves plenty of 'who is she' questions, though the ad density is high and a chunk of outbound links have rotted.
- 16
A porn search engine that indexes performers across dozens of tubes and galleries in one query. Handy as a starting point, but it's an aggregator with heavy ads, not a maintained biographical record.
- 17
Part review site, part forum, with performer and title pages that long-time collectors keep reasonably accurate. It reads like an early-2000s message board because it basically is, and search is clunky.
- 18
A Japanese-language actress database with detailed profiles, debut dates, and title lists. No translation and a busy layout make it tough for non-readers, but the depth on JAV performers is excellent.
- 19C+
AVDBS
A Korean-run JAV database with strong actress coverage and community ratings. Much of it requires an account and reading Korean, which limits reach, but the catalog runs deep.
- 20
A pay-per-minute VOD store with a broad performer browse that works as a rough filmography when other databases come up short. Cataloguing is inconsistent and the interface pushes purchases hard.
- 21
Upload a photo and its facial recognition tries to name the performer, which works surprisingly well for well-known faces. It's a single-purpose tool, so don't expect filmographies or bios.
- 22
Pornhub's official model platform doubles as a searchable index of verified performers with real bios and links to their content. It's a storefront first, so expect promotion, but the profiles are legitimate.
- 23B-
EGAFD
The European Girls Adult Film Database is a labor-of-love reference for continental performers, with careful filmographies you won't find elsewhere. It's text-only and rarely updated, so recent names are missing.
- 24B-
GEVI
The Gay Erotic Video Index is effectively IAFD for gay film: deep credits, studio histories, and performer cross-references. The look is spartan and it's members-supported, but the cataloguing is meticulous.
- 25B-
BGAFD
A long-running British performer database with meticulous filmography records. The design is ancient and the project is largely dormant now, but the archival value for UK adult film history is real.
- 26
A straightforward filmography index in the IAFD mold, covering DVD-era titles and casts. It's usable and free, but the data set is smaller, the design is stuck in 2005, and updates are slow.
- 27
A niche index focused on Eastern European models with alias tracking that can untangle who's who. It's sparse, dated, and inconsistently maintained, so treat it as a supplement rather than a primary source.
